Natchez Trace Parkway Model 'A' Tour
April 24-27 2022
In April of 2022, the Gulf Coast Model 'A' Club will be touring the Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a Model 'A' Ford tour that starts in Natchez, Mississippi and ends in Franklin Tennessee.
We are inviting other Model 'A' enthusiasts to join us.
About the Tour
Each night, we will all be staying in a different town along our route and every morning we will have a drivers meeting in the hotel lobby or parking lot. After the driver's meeting, everyone is on their own to travel the parkway to our next destination. You can travel with others in the group or separately as you choose.
There are many historical points of interest along the parkway so you can pick and choose the areas that interest you. Throughout most of the day we’ll be encountering other Model ‘A’ folks along the parkway. We've noted several suggested restaurants or you can pack a lunch and have a picnic in the park.
Staying at the recommended hotels along the way is not mandatory. You can stay anywhere you like. The Host Hotel in Nachez, Ms (Days Inn Wyndam) has agreed to allow us to leave car trailers there while we tour the Nachez Trace parkway. This is a nice gesture from the hotel.
After reaching the end of the parkway in Franklin, TN, there will be a Farewell Dinner at the Best Western Hotel in Franklin.
The following morning, everyone is on their own to travel home.
Please note that we will limit the amount of cars on the tour to 25 so there won’t be congestion at stops and restaurants along the way. Please don’t hesitate to make your hotel reservations and send in the registration form (below).
We are planning to have a vehicle with car trailer to accompany the tour and lend assistance at their discretion. Each driver is responsible for their own vehicle which should be in good mechanical condition.
Hotel reservations
"Tour Check-In" is at the Days Inn Wyndham, Natchez MS and will be Sunday, April 24, 2022 between 2:00 and 5:00 pm
Everyone is responsible for making their own hotel reservations. We reserved a block of 25 rooms at each primary hotel for a discounted rate. You must call each hotel directly to book your rooms and mention “Gulf Coast Model ‘A’ Club” to get the discounted rate. Also note the backup hotels listed below.
